With the resumption of awareness programs and training courses, the organization’s health office organized a lecture on Monday, June 10, 2024, focused on viral hepatitis (HBV). The lecture was presented by Dr. Adam El Nour, a distinguished member of the health office. The presentation encompassed a comprehensive definition of the disease, the global prevalence of HBV, and information about other related viruses. It also addressed the modes of transmission, the most vulnerable groups, potential complications, prevention strategies, and treatment options for those infected or exposed.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the organizing team for delivering such a valuable, important, and insightful lecture, particularly beneficial for the youth in Uganda. We also extend our thanks to the health office staff and participants for their excellent attendance and engaging interaction.
It is noteworthy that the organization’s health office will continue to provide health awareness lectures and consultations for refugees in Uganda until the health unit becomes operational. This initiative aims to assist refugees and contribute to resolving the health challenges they face.
