On Saturday, July 6, 2024, the Women and Children’s Office of the SCRSDO organized a counseling and psychological support session for women in Kampala at the organization’s headquarters in Kawempe. The session was conducted by the psychological counselor, Ms. Mashir Ali, a member of the organization’s Health Office.
Ms. Amina Ahmed, the Women and Children’s Officer at the organization, also spoke about the issues facing refugee women and the challenges of economic and social empowerment.
At the end of the session, opportunities for participation and discussion were opened up for the participants to express their opinions and ideas, and to discuss the challenges and problems facing women and children in Kampala.
The Women and Children’s Office emphasized the continuation of workshops and awareness sessions, as well as opening up training courses specifically for women in the upcoming period.
