The SCRSDO organization held an awareness workshop on breast cancer at its headquarters in Kampala, Kawempe in Uganda on Saturday, 21st of October. The workshop began with an introductory session between the trainees and trainers, then Mr. Saad Al-Din Abdel Majid Elias, the executive director of the organization, spoke about the organization’s goals and vision. He urged members of the office to make more efforts and coordination to find solutions to the problems of refugees in Uganda…
Then Ms. Sabah Youssef spoke about breast cancer and the number of women affected by it around the world, as well as the risk factors of the disease and the importance of awareness. After that, Ms. Manahel Abdullah spoke about the early symptoms and signs of the disease and how to detect them, emphasizing the need for diagnosis at specialized diagnostic centers. Then Ms. Manahel Al-Jadi talked about breast cancer treatment methods such as targeted therapy, chemotherapy, weight loss, and exercise… Finally, Ms. Makarem Noor spoke about the importance of providing psychological and social support for breast cancer patients…
The workshop was characterized by interaction, optimism, and discussion between trainees and trainers.
Moreover Mr.Tawfeeq, a member of the organization’s administrative office, announced that more awareness workshops and events will be organized during Pink October month. He also confirmed that there will be different awareness workshops in several locations within Kampala regarding legal edification due to its importance. He also said The organization is open to all qualified volunteers in Kampala…
