Over three consecutive days—April 7, 8, and 9, 2025—in the areas of Kawempe and Seeta Bajo, and for the first time after the signing of a memorandum of understanding with NRC, OPM, and UNHCR, awareness workshops were conducted at various SCRSDO branches in Kampala.
These workshops were initiated at the request of the Ugandan community police in collaboration with the mentioned organizations, in light of the violations and issues affecting refugees, especially Sudanese refugees, in recent days.
The sessions focused on enhancing security and safety, avoiding large gatherings, refraining from staying out late in the evenings and at night, and understanding the process of filing complaints and promptly reporting incidents at local police stations and government offices within neighborhoods.
