Despite the difficult circumstances and challenges faced by humanitarian organizations in many countries, and the decisions made by some governments and international bodies to suspend humanitarian aid—decisions that undoubtedly affect refugees and displaced persons—SCRSDO continues its projects and activities, remaining committed to addressing community issues.

The organization aims to contribute to finding solutions that require both local and international efforts, emphasizing the necessity of joint work and innovative thinking as the only ways to adapt to these decisions and overcome these challenges to prevent suffering.
In line with this commitment, and as part of its ongoing outreach, SCRSDO’s Seeta office, at its new location in Al-Shajara, held an awareness seminar today, Sunday, February 16, 2025. This event was part of its legal awareness project for refugees in Uganda and focused on asylum laws, rights and responsibilities, and rental contracts.

The seminar was led by lawyer Mr. Saadeldin Abdel-Majid Elias, the organization’s executive director, who provided a comprehensive explanation of asylum laws and the balance between individual rights and responsibilities to ensure protection and necessary support. He emphasized the importance of adhering to local laws, as they help create opportunities for integration into the host community. He also stressed the need for countries to improve these laws and provide a safe and supportive environment for refugees to maintain order and security in society.
In conclusion, Mr. Elias praised the outstanding organization of refugees in Seeta and the efforts of all members of his office in driving positive change.
